My aviation journey began right here at Advantage Aviation, where I earned my Private Pilot Certificate and discovered my passion for flying. Since then, I have continued my training and gained experience in both the Bay Area and Central Oregon through Alaska Airlines’ Ascend program. I hold Commercial Multi-Engine, Complex, and High Performance qualifications, as well as my CFI and CFII certificates.
As an instructor, I believe every student is unique. I love meeting new people, and I believe that getting to know my students and adapting my teaching style to their individual goals, learning styles, and needs is key to their success. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students can build confidence, develop strong skills, and become safe, capable pilots. I take a holistic approach to flight training and believe that the lessons we learn through aviation extend far beyond the cockpit.
On a personal note, I have always been someone who wants to try a little bit of everything, which ultimately led me to an exciting career in aviation. I spent three years living in Dublin, Ireland, where I earned my master’s degree while working as a bartender. I grew up riding and training horses, which taught me the value of patience, clear communication, decisiveness, and positive reinforcement, qualities I carry into my approach to flight instruction. In my free time, I enjoy playing piano and guitar, cooking, painting, archery, and cheering on the San Jose Sharks. I love finding common interests with my students and getting to know the people behind the pilots I teach.
