Hi! I am an AOPA Distinguished CFI and UC Berkeley Honored Instructor who has been in Bay Area science education for over 15 years and loves teaching people of all ages from 5-65. At almost 40, I started to fly because I wanted to get out of my comfort zone, meet new people, and wear cool sunglasses. In addition, I am a certified professional coach and my style is to use positive reinforcement and encouragement to motivate you to be your best self, to keep showing up, and to push past your limits.
I like to teach in both Cessna 172s and Citabria tailwheels. I believe that starting with an airplane with traditional steam gauges has a lot of benefits. If you’d like me to fly with me please reach out!
In addition to flight training, I specialize in ground instruction. If you would like a check up for your ground knowledge, call the Ground School Doctor! I offer both personalized ground instruction so you show up with confidence for the oral portion of your phase checks and checkrides and a classroom ground school that prepares you for the written knowledge test.
I want to support you to achieve your dreams and goals, so let me know how I can be a part of your journey!
