As a controller, pilot and member of Advantage Aviation, I'd be more than happy to answer/forward any questions regarding air traffic control.  Some answers may require a review by the facility manager but I'll do my best to accommodate.  You are all welcome to come over for a tower tour but please understand that staffing and traffic levels can limit our ability to provide tours.  Hope the holidays are good to all!

Thanks Ryan.  It would be very cool to take a tour of the Palo Alto tower and see how you guys manage to run things.  How many people can you accommodate for the tower tour at a time?  Even though PAO is class D, I think there is radar coverage right?  Every time I call in it seems like you guys already know exactly where I am, it feels like a warm welcome.

I'd say no more than 4 but you'll have to ask when you call/walk up. Depending on traffic and how many people we have working it can get quite crowded. The smaller the group the more direct the tour can be. Avoid busy times, obviously if its too busy we can't have the distractions.

I'd be down for a tour for me , wife, and kid.  Can you give a tour on saturdays?  What time would be best on a weekend?
